About The Alcazar Palm Springs Wedding Venue

Alcazar is a boutique hotel that first opened its doors in 2011. Since then, it has wasted no time setting itself apart from the rest! The hotel is conveniently located, putting you less than 3 miles away from the airport. You will be within walking distance from all the top Palm Springs destinations (including the best stores!), but you will still have all the seclusion you could possibly need for a day custom-made to you. In the summer of 2025, the hotel was temporarily shut down for a renovation to ensure their guests could continue to have a modern spot for every second of their escape. Now, the hotel is back and better than ever, ready to host the wedding of your dreams! 

Details of the Grounds

With Alcazar Palm Springs, you can request to rent out the entirety of the hotel so you and your guests have a comfortable spot to stay throughout your wedding. You can start out your day getting ready in their luxurious suites with all your besties. The thing I love the most about the rooms is their ability to work across pretty much every wedding style. With minimalistic white walls, white ceilings, and white floors, your wedding colors are going to pop! It is the perfect backdrop for fun, eclectic celebrations with no shortage of bright colors! 

Your ceremony will start out in The Courtyard where you will have an enclosed terrace for your vows. The area features a unique fence with tall fogged glass at the front of the area. This feature gives you complete privacy without taking away from the sunny California backdrops. Thin trees add in a bit of greenery while the hotel’s hacienda roof adds just a bit more color. The area perimeter of the yard also features tall hedges and ivy-draped walls. It’s brilliant yet intimate, upscale yet completely customizable. 

The Pool Deck

Once you have walked back through the bright orange iron fence with your brand new spouse, your guests will be dismissed to enjoy some cocktails over at The Alcazar Palm Springs Pool Deck. This will also be the area where your reception is held if you choose to remain on the grounds. The venue will place long tables around the pool and put a dance floor at the front of the area. From there, the possibilities are endless! When I shot a wedding at this location, the couple chose to bring in a crew of synchronized swimmers for entertainment at the beginning of the evening.

Then, following dinner, their guests made their way out to the dance floor for a night of partying beneath the string lights. With the mountainous backdrops and the privacy of the iconic hotel, truly, it was a night I know no one will forget anytime soon! Alcazar Hotel is able to host up to 125 guests and offers 34 rooms available for rent. 

Photography Opportunities

Trust me when I say Palm Springs is a picture-perfect backdrop for pretty much every wedding! When I worked with Russell and Jessica, we did both their engagement and their wedding photos right on the site. While there isn’t a bad spot on the entire premises, there are a few backdrops I really loved. First of all, the private balconies are a great spot for sharing a kiss throughout their engagement portraits. The trailing plants on the white walls and the orange ceilings bring in color without distracting from the real stars of the show. 

For your first look pictures on your wedding day, I think the entrance into the lobby is your spot! The white plaster walls are covered in trailing plants with vivid pink flowers blossoming sporadically across the architecture. The domed roof and arched doorways just make this area even more scenic for this special moment. Once it’s time for your group portraits, you can head over to the gardens where you will have the bright orange gate and verdant plants on full display. And of course, the poolside is a great spot for editorial pics throughout the night! 

Wedding Details

Alcazar Palm Springs is going to make sure your wedding is everything you have ever wanted! When you buy out the hotel, they are going to give you six hours for your celebration. You will have everything you need right on the grounds, so you don’t have to waste the morning of your wedding running across town. Throughout the planning process, you will work with their dedicated wedding team to put every last detail into place. They know how to take out all the stress so you can just focus on enjoying your day! The venue has a partnership with F10 Catering and will take care of all of your food and drinks. Before your wedding day, you will work alongside the chefs to create a menu that is just right for your celebration!
