Agoura Hills Engagement Session – Nicole + Johnathan

Dec 30, 2015

Nicole+Johnathan1

Nicole and Johnathan have known each other ever since the first grade! Some consider their love for one another to be coincidence given that they went through grade school together. Others, such as myself, see it as fate. Like most of us in this world, we didn’t find love-at-first-sight. For Nicole and Johnathan it was a new found love during a high-school football game.

Both of them always knowing about one another. Passing in the hallway between classes and having siblings attend the same school. They were connected in more ways than one. Out of all the run-ins and pass-by’s they had, it was a football game on a Friday night that sealed the deal? Anyone else get the Friday Night Lights show vibe? From that night on the two were inseparable!

When it came to getting their engagement session done, Nicole wanted a brisk, Fall, romantic feel. She mentioned a location I have never heard of before. The Peter Strauss Park in Agoura Hills, California. A small, rustic park, but a beautiful one at that! The bare neutral colored landscape with just a hint of golden Fall foliage made for a beautiful photo-session. At one point during the shoot we got a little lost on a trail and stumbled across a couple of deer. I had no idea there were deer in Agoura Hills, who knew! Finding our way back to the main path lead to some beautiful intimate moments between Nicole and Johnathan. One of my favorites is Nicole looking straight into the camera while Johnathan gives a heart-warming kiss to Nicole. Awe, my heart just melted a little bit!

Being able to walk in a park and get lost with these two love birds was a life changing experience for me. Seeing their love and sarcasm with one another made me recognize that love is different for everyone. It’s not all Hollywood glamour and what we see in the movies. It’s the day-to-day interactions and being able to move forward in life together. Whatever life brings your way. Thank you Nicole and Johnathan for making me see that the simple things in life, just being in love with one-another, is enough.
