As a Palm Springs wedding photographer, I got to go behind the scenes of this venue when Matt and Jenny hosted their day here, and now, I want to tell you all about it! Old Polo Estate is a wedding venue designed to give you your own private oasis right in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Long story short, this is the ideal spot to exchange your vows if you want a wedding week filled with Palm Springs-style parties followed by a secluded day with the people you love the most!
This venue is completely family-owned, and their passion for exceptional events is obvious in all of the details. They go above and beyond with their amenities, covering all of the logistics so you can have a stress-free wedding day. They even have on-site lodging available, so you don’t have to leave the property for the entirety of the wedding weekend! And because you are going to have an entire luxury mansion at your disposal, you aren’t going to have to worry about stumbling into any wedding crashers. It’s the perfect escape from the wonderful chaos just a short drive away.
Details of the Grounds
If you choose to rent out Old Polo Estate for your wedding weekend, you will have enough space to lodge up to 20 guests. The mansion is going to let you relax in style! This house has a pool, a golf green, and tons of space to move around. Matt and Jenny chose to get ready on the property, popping some champagne and beers before it was time to head to the venue. Because the estate is so massive, their wedding parties were able to stay completely separate before it was time for their big reveal!
Matt and Jenny chose to have an intimate wedding beforehand and then host a larger ceremony at Old Polo Estate. The expansive yard of the estate proved to be the best spot for their service! The area is completely level with the exception of a small slope just behind the altar area. Thick rows of trees stand in the backdrop, while towering palm trees are planted around the border. During their wedding, they had that luscious Palm Springs haze that made Jenny’s entrance all the more dramatic. They exchanged their vows between large white flower arrangements and let the surrounding nature serve as the main decorations. Then, once they had finished trading their I dos, the party made its way back toward the house for a cocktail hour fueled by laughter and Mango Cart.
If you do want a more formal cocktail hour, you can use the pool area. This space is picturesque and chic, with a large cabana ideal for your bar. Your guests will be able to enjoy their cocktail of choice while taking in the classic Coachella views.
Incredible Outdoor Wedding Receptions At The Old Polo Estate Wedding Venue
The two held an outdoor reception out by a patio. There were speeches and dances followed by some of the best food around! Then, it was time to head out to the dance floor and spend hours celebrating.
This area has a covered area in the front, ideal for your entertainment. There are smaller palm trees planted throughout, plus there are string lights that add to the ambiance. The entire thing has been built for unforgettable parties, and the on-site accommodations will ensure you have the perfect place to crash once it’s all over. There are also firepits you will be able to use throughout the evening in case your guests want to cook up s’mores or relax with some drinks.
Old Polo Estate is able to accommodate up to 200 people, making it ideal for parties of all sizes!
Photography Opportunities
Old Polo Estate has been curated to give you plenty of spaces to use for your wedding portraits. As the couple got ready for the day, we took candid photos inside, taking advantage of the natural lighting as well as the neutral color palettes. Then, once everyone had their hair and makeup on, we used the area surrounding the house for wedding party pictures.
The estate has lush walkways surrounded by palm trees and hedges. We chose these areas for their first look portraits, getting the neighboring lake in the backdrop. After these pics, we stuck around and took individual photos.
For formal pictures, the lawn was the best spot! Here, you could get the desert plants as well as the vibrant red flowers showing off in the background. Plus, since this area is flat, it’s accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
Wedding Details
With Old Polo Estate, you will have your perfect location as well as the flexibility to have the wedding day of your dreams! If you do choose to stay on-site, you will have enough space for up to 20 guests. This makes it the best spot to relax with your wedding party leading up to your celebration!
The venue will provide staff members throughout your wedding day, and they can assist you with table and chair rentals. While the celebration spaces are outside, they will provide you with A/C luxury restrooms for your guests. There is parking on-site, and the venue has equipment rentals.
You will be able to choose your own catering and bar services throughout your wedding weekend. Your vendors will have access to an outdoor kitchen and bar where they can prepare your meal. The venue’s goal is to give you complete freedom while still ensuring everything is seamless!
