Brett and Brian planned their wedding day alongside Michelle Garibay Events at the Avalon hotel in Palm Springs, California. When I asked how the two of them met, looking over at one another, smiling and chuckling. “We met dancing in front of the speaker during one of our favorite DJ sets.” Who knew that being invited out for a night out on the town with friends in downtown San Francisco would lead to meeting the love of your life. “Brian popped the questions at Outside Lands music festival with close friends and family present.”
The wedding day started in the bungalow suites at the hotel. The sun shinning and perfect temperatures to work on your tan poolside. Opting to get ready in separate rooms with their respective wedding party built the anticipation for the first look. Shortly after the first look we wandered off to the desert to do an off-site location for formal portraits. Brett and Brian wanted the iconic “welcome to Palm Springs” symbol of the windmills. “whenever we come to Palm Springs for a weekend getaway we always feel welcomed by the windmills.” Capturing the two of them wandering the golden lit desert was spectacular.
The ceremony took place under the black and white canopy tent of the regency lawn. Brett and Brian walked down the aisle separately with their parents along side them. How meaningful in having your parents give you away to the man of your dreams. After the ceremony, Brett and Brian mingled and laughed with all of their friends and family. Enjoying the full hour of cocktail hour drinking, eating, and catching up with friends. The night concluded with everyone partying like it was New Years Eve in Las Vegas by having the famous DJ Daisy O’Dell. I even found myself on the dance floor with Brett and Brian a few times that night!
