As a Palm Springs wedding photographer, I have gotten the chance to fall in love with this venue for myself. Let me tell you everything you can expect when you plan a La Quinta Country Club wedding. 

About The La Quinta Country Club Wedding Venue

La Quinta Country Club is a PGA course that got its start back in 1959. When the La Quinta Hotel hosted their very first round, some pretty notable golfers were in attendance, including Bing Crosby, Ed Crowley, John Raitt, and Bob Hope. With that much name-power behind the first game, there was no way this club was going to be anything less than legendary. Today, the course remains a favorite for renowned PGA players looking to challenge themselves while taking in some excellent views of Coachella Valley. 

When Matt and Brynn asked me to document their La Quinta Country Club wedding, of course, I had to say yes! The couple was flying in from Dallas for their perfect Palm Springs wedding. They stayed true to the golf theme by kicking things off with a rehearsal dinner at Arnold Palmer’s Restaurant. They even had Spiked Arnold Palmers as drinks, plus they had the cutest golf rehearsal cake, complete with argyle fondant and a golf green on top. From there, we were ready for a celebration at La Quinta Country Club! 

Details of the Grounds

La Quinta gives you a room with an attached patio perfect for getting ready. The morning of the wedding, Brynn used the La Quinta Room to put on the most perfect dress, and then she headed out to the patio to show it off to her bridesmaids. The natural lighting in this area made it the ideal spot to get some candid shots and put on any finishing makeup touches. Meanwhile, Matt got ready in the upstairs Boardroom. The groomsmen toasted to the future and shared some time together before it was time for a first look just outside of the clubhouse.

The ceremony site at this hotel is classic Palm Springs. The flat green is surrounded by palm trees, and the mountains shine prominently in the backdrop. Matt and Brynn exchanged their vows in front of the iconic olive tree with a square arbor made up of red, blush, and coral roses. Meanwhile, their guests looked on from the flat lawn in white chairs. Because the views are so spectacular, the couple really didn’t need much to make this space feel alive! 

Cocktail Hour And Beyond At A La Quinta Country Club Wedding

As their guests made their way to the clubhouse for a cocktail hour, we explored the grounds and took formal pictures of the brand new married couples. Both the wedding site and the clubhouse itself were ideal for these pics! 

Finally, it was time to head over to The Eisenhower Pavilion, a space built to hold up to 300 guests. This area was meant to be a luxurious blank slate you can infuse with your unique style. The towering walls are painted a delicate slate of off-white, and the arched French doors invite in the views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The venue lets you open the area up to the balcony, where your guests can catch a breath of fresh air throughout your party. 

Matt and Brynn transformed this area with their wedding flowers and added some greenery to the statement iron lights. They brought in a live band so they could dance late into the evening. For hours, the party celebrated over martinis, and Brynn changed into her second look for the after party in the boardroom. Truly, this was the perfect day complete with the perfect couple! 

Photography Opportunities

La Quinta Country Club has so many fabulous spots for your wedding portraits! Throughout Matt and Brynn’s wedding, we used the clubhouse as a backdrop. For their first look pictures, they used the exterior staircase for a dramatic reveal! From there, we stayed in the area and took some posed pictures of the couple before the ceremony started. For individual pictures with the wedding party, the balcony was the best spot! Once the crowd had cleared out of the wedding site, we stayed back and took some nature-filled pictures in the Coachella Valley with the Santa Rosa Mountains in the backdrop. We also used the patio, the front walkway, and the staircase leading up to the clubhouse. The verdant landscaping, complete with lush flowers, only elevated these pics! Then, once the reception was over, the couple headed out to the patio for farewell pics in a golf cart! 

Wedding Details

With La Quinta, they are going to make sure you have everything you need for your wedding day. They offer all-inclusive wedding packages that will take care of all the details. They start out by connecting you with their staff members who know how to throw an unforgettable party. You will also chat with their in-house catering team to create the right menu for your celebration. While Matt and Brynn opted to host their rehearsal dinner at Arnold Palmer’s Restaurant, La Quinta is able to hold yours if you’d prefer. By the way, this venue is able to host parties of all sizes. They have a capacity for up to 300 guests, but they do have elopement packages and weekday options in case you’d like something a bit more intimate. La Quinta is a seasonal venue with availability from May through October.
