As a Palm Springs wedding photographer, I get the unique chance to hop all across this town in search of the best venues, and Toscana landed on my radar after my clients Jake and Lizzie chose it for their first look pictures. Immediately, I was floored. It has all the Palm Springs charm with elevated amenities dedicated to making your wedding day flawless. What more could you want?! Since then, I have gotten to know this property pretty well, and I am here to tell you all about it! Here’s what you need to know if you choose a Toscana Country Club wedding. 

About The Toscana Country Club Wedding Venue

From the very beginning, Toscana Country Club and wedding venue was meant to be a spot where people could go to get away. This is your premier social destination located right outside of Palm Springs in Indian Wells. This community feels a bit like a small town just outside of society, with guarded private gates running along the exterior. Inside, you will find 631 homes and estates as well as several Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses. They also offer a wine cellar, several on-site restaurants, a sports and tennis club, and a spa. Sure, you could leave this site, but who would really want to? When Toscana isn’t busy pampering their residents, you can find them throwing exclusive events you will never want to forget! 

Details of the Grounds

Toscana Country Club offers several locations where you can host the wedding of your dreams. If you want a space where you can get ready ahead of your ceremony, you can work with them to book Spa Bella Vita. This space was created to help you feel pampered from the second you walk through the doors. In addition to their relaxing treatments, they have a team of beauty experts who can do your hair and makeup so you can head into your wedding day feeling unbothered, moisturized, and happy. 

For your ceremony, you will have both indoor and outdoor locations available. If you do prefer an outdoor spot (and with views like these, who could blame you?!), I highly recommend The Garden Terrace. This outdoor space overlooks the golf course and the mountains, giving you enough space for up to 140 guests. The iron-wrought trellises are going to give you the perfect backdrop as you exchange your vows! 

Once it’s time for your cocktail hour, your guests can head to Il Forno Lounge. This is a space where your guests can kick back and relax while taking in some pretty legendary mountain views. The area has a wood-burning fireplace ideal for setting the mood! 

For your reception, Villa Toscana is the best spot! This is an indoor/outdoor space with the most wonderfully romantic vibes. You can spend all day dancing beneath the draped ceilings while chandeliers illuminate your celebration. With enough room for up to 240 guests, this is a great option for larger parties. 

If you do prefer something a little more intimate, the venue has the Il Forno Main Dining Room. This space is pure rustic beauty with vaulted wood beam ceilings and arched windows that show off the rest of Toscana. This area is able to host up to 90 guests. 

Photography Opportunities

When I worked with Lizzie and Jake for their wedding, the pair chose Toscana Country Club for their rehearsal dinner as well as their first look portraits. This site turned out to be the perfect spot for both. Before their wedding, we snapped some pics of the party as they raised a glass to the couple. Then, once their wedding day arrived, we headed outside so they could see each other for the first time. The Garden Terrace was ideal for this. Lizzie stood behind him in her gorgeous gown and eagerly waited. When he turned around, he was completely awed, and we took some pics of the two together, the mountains in the background fading into the horizon. With the lake just behind them and the colorful landscaping on either side, it truly was a picture-perfect backdrop! 

Wedding Details

After their first look portraits, Lizzie and Jake left so they could tie the knot at Sacred Heart church before it was time for their reception at La Quinta Resort. While they didn’t personally choose Toscana for their wedding day, this venue does offer plenty of accommodations in case you want to use them throughout your entire celebration. This venue is able to accommodate parties of all sizes and styles, offering everything from intimate wine cellar dinners to lavish ballroom celebrations. 

This venue prides themselves on their food with both plated and buffet styles available. You can choose from options like oyster on the half shell, lobster boils, Memphis barbecue, and snow crab claws. Ahead of your party, you can schedule a tasting with the venue so you can work with them to craft your perfect feast! 

Toscana gives you access to so many add-ons to take your wedding day over the top. Your guests are going to feel spoiled by valet parking throughout your event. Meanwhile, you can opt to use this venue’s wait staff and vendors, or you can choose your own. The venue has customizable dance floors you can choose for your party, and they give you the ability to add on as much time as you need for set-up and breakdown.
