Rancho Las Palmas is nestled right alongside the edge of Palm Springs, where the lush green fields give way to the legendary mountain views. An offering of the beloved Omni Hotel chain, this spot is ready to give you a day of luxury that transcends all styles. As a Palm Springs wedding photographer, I get the chance to explore some of the best venues with my clients, and when Chris and Brianne asked me to tag along for their Rancho Las Palmas wedding, of course, I was all in! Now, I’m here to tell you all about their Rancho Las Palmas wedding so you can decide if this is the spot for you!

About The Rancho Las Palmas Wedding Venue
41000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, California 92270
Rancho Las Palmas is all about curating an unforgettable experience for all of their weddings. This spot was built to be a retreat near gorgeous Palm Springs. When you book your stay here, you will have nearly 400 acres to explore. Yes, they have all the amenities like guest rooms, on-site restaurants, and a spa, but they also give you a few added perks. Maybe you want to stay cool at the water park or blow off steam on the golf course. No matter what you want your Palm Springs stay to look like, this place has it! Additionally, it’s a kid-friendly hotel! So there is no problem with hosting a wedding without any age limits.

They also have adult-only pools if you would prefer a quieter affair, complete with immaculate party vibes. With this hotel, you are going to have all the tools you need for a truly iconic weekend!

Details of the Grounds
The morning of Chris and Brianne’s wedding was spent on-site at the hotel. Both of them had separate rooms where they could get ready alongside their wedding party. Brianne was spoiled by the beauty concierge at Elwynn + Cass before slipping into her Jane Hill gown. Meanwhile, Chris looked pretty dapper in his navy custom tux from Suit Supply with added accessories from Smathers & Branson. I loved how the rooms were decorated with a warm yet neutral color palette for the backdrop of their pics. Because their wedding had that vintage, old Hollywood black-and-white color scheme, it really was the perfect spot for them to show off their looks! I also used this time to snap some pics of the stationery designed by Something Lettered.

Their wedding took place on the lawn of the hotel with the palm trees overlooking the mountains. While the site is beautiful as is, the floral designs from Carla Keyes completely elevated it! Out here, there really are no bad angles. The altar showed off views of the San Jacinto mountains, while the site’s entry had the picture-perfect Spanish-style hotel. We also had views of the lakes and the golf course on either side. The venue has several spots reserved for your wedding, including Las Palmas Lawn and the 5th Fairway. Both sites offer you clear views of the surrounding land. So the hotel will work with you to find the one that will best accommodate your wedding.

Even More Beautiful Wedding Spaces At Rancho Las Palmas
Once it was time for their formal portraits, I ran off with the newly married couple while their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour out on the lawn. As they feasted on delicious hors d’oeuvres, I walked along the property with Chris, Brianne, and Co. to find the best backdrops for their portraits.

From there, it was time for the Reception. The pair chose to have an outdoor reception at the Starlight Terrace. This rooftop space offered 10,000 square feet of space, giving them plenty of room to spread out and dance. And trust me, this group came to party! After they were done with dinner, the crowd wandered out onto a custom dance floor created by Trejo Dance Floors, and they spent hours grooving along to music being spun by the DJs at Dart Collective. We took a break to cut into the cake from Buttercream Bakeries, and then everyone headed back out for more celebration.

By the way, if this reception spot doesn’t work for you, the hotel offers several additional spaces, including the indoor Las Palmas Ballroom or the Fiesta Ballroom. They also have the Country Club that draws inspiration from old-world cathedrals. With this hotel, you are going to be able to hold up to 250 guests.

Photography Opportunities
Rancho Las Palmas is a photographer’s dream with lush backdrops nearly everywhere you turn! We used the towering hedges on the property for the couple’s first look pics, with the vibrant green standing in stark contrast. This was also the spot we used for the formal portraits. I loved how the black bridesmaid dresses popped against the backdrop!

Wedding Details
This team has worked pretty hard to gain their reputation as one of the most luxurious hotels around, and as I worked with Chris and Brianne, I quickly understood why! Rancho Las Palmas will give you everything you could need for your wedding day, starting with the catering. Their dedicated team of chefs will brainstorm with you ahead of your celebration to figure out the menu that will perfectly suit your party. Beyond their hors d’oeuvres and dinner, they will take care of breakfast, lunch, and everything else throughout your stay.

While Chris and Brianne choose to use rentals from Jake Duke Studios and Sig Party Rentals, the hotel can provide you with several options to take your day over the top. I highly recommend hiring a planning and design team to make your day a little easier. Michelle Garibay Events was the group Chris and Brianne chose, and the hotel event management worked closely with them to make the day seamless.
