I was so thrilled when Danielle of DC Media + Design asked me to capture her new head-shots.
I love when I get the chance to work one-on-one with people. It gives me the chance to capture who they are, the essence of their spirit, in an environment that encompasses who they are. For Danielle, it was being surrounded by luscious succulents within a desert landscape. The Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs was the perfect place to capture Danielle’s lifestyle. Wild, free, and full of ambition.

Danielle is in the works of creating a new company and I couldn’t be more thrilled for her! It’s not easy starting a new company from scratch. Being able to do what you love on a daily basis, makes all the blood, sweat, and tears worth it all.
Danielle has decided to use her creative outlet to make jewelry. Not your typical kind of accessories, more along the lines of modern guitar string jewelry. Accents of silver, gold, and colored leather. Sounds cool doesn’t it?

When asking Danielle what the most important thing was in capturing her headshot, it was not the “I want to look perfect” response. It was something far more refreshing. “I want people to see that I am kind and approachable.”
Being Danielle’s friend makes me biased of course, but nonetheless I have been able to see the kind heart and soul that Danielle carries each and every day. She will always try to find a way to work with people in any given situation. Her kind heart makes people feel at ease and even at times vulnerable with. At this point, need I say more? Whether needing advice on creative and business decisions, or just wanting to have some girl time and a cup of coffee.

Danielle thrives to have a creative outlet with her new upcoming business. As well as being able to “geek” out as some would say on doing graphic design and website coding. I know for most of us the thought of doing website coding is a headache, but for Danielle it comes so easily. So if anyone ever needs help with anything business brand related, Danielle should be your girl!
